This is an all-class inclusive poll.
SPRING TOP TEN POLL
1. Gaffney - The defending state 4A-DI champions lost a lot of talent from one of the state's top defensive teams, but they return the state's most talented offensive player in QB Shaq Davidson, hit on 66-of-124 passes for 901 yards with nine touchdowns and 10 interceptions. He rushed 102 times for 598 yards and seven touchdowns after moving to QB from WR after a 3-3 start.
2. Northwestern - With the state's top quarterback in Mason Rudolph and talent to surround him, the 4A-DII runners-up are a favorite to contend for a state title.
3. Byrnes - Solid team with veteran QB Shuler Bentley returning but lost a wealth of talent and several good coaches in the off-season.
4. Goose Creek - Return experience at quarterback, a strong offensive front, and one of the state's top running backs. Will have holes on defense.
5.Greenwood - Defending 4A-DII champions should have little trouble winning their region and will again be a major contender for the DII crown.
6. Dutch Fork - 4A-DI runner up Dutch Fork lost their most dynamic player but this team is loaded again for another run at the title.
7. D.W. Daniel - 3A powerhouse Daniel returns the state's top running back and a strong defensive line up.
8. North Augusta - Experience at QB will help the Yellow Jackets, who have been the state's most consistent winning program in the last ten years.
9. West Florence - The Knights return a solid core of talent, including one of the state's most dynamic junior players in QB Marqaune Goodman.
10. York - Despite loss of starters to graduation, depth has given them a lot of returning talent that got significant playing time in back up roles.
