College coaches making a trek through the Southeast need to make Heathwood Hall in Columbia a stop during the evaluation period.
2021 standout Ronnie Porter played both ways for Heathwood last season and excelled on two sides of the ball. He racked up 2,000 yards as a running back on offense and 18 total touchdowns.
Those looking for a physical runner will be intrigued by Porter's skill set. He's a downhill guy all day, and is frequently seen on tape bouncing off would-be tacklers. Porter is not going to be regarded as a home run threat at the next level, but he's built powerfully in the lower body and is a chain-mover. Porter shows nice initial patience, then steps and strides through openings, able to extend plays with his physical running style.
On defense, Porter shows his physicality in chasing plays laterally and blitzing the quarterback off the edge.
