Notes: Big time hitter and one of the top linebackers in the state in this class; many will have him at the No. 2 spot but I think he's as good as the No. 1 guy.
On the hoof: Very athletic and solid frame. Plays full speed and has great speed burst.
On film: Steps up and fills the hole very well against the run and has good speed to the sidelines; gets over the trash well. Reads and diagnosis is very strong, maybe his greatest strength; excellent tackler.
Needs work on: He's good in pass coverage but sometimes takes too much of a drop; his speed at the high school level has afforded him the ability to do this but he'll have to correct at the next level because of the speed of the game.
Ranking: I like this kid a lot; he's a strong, blue collar, physical football player. As I said, he plays the position as good as any in the state and better than most.
Plays high caliber competition in the Class 4A.
Overall? A definite FBS player. He doesn't have the height that a lot of the FBS guys like, but he can definitely fly around the field with a physical presence. I believe he's going to get an FBS offer but should at least have FCS schools hot on him.
Early Ranking? I see him as a definite high three-star player.
