CLASS 3A BOLD PREDICTIONS: keep in mind, this is based on speculation and not any evaluation information at all for the upcoming season! Simply fun to predict in the off-season!
Class 3A STATE CHAMPIONS: This is a tough call because there are a couple of teams I like here. I'm going to go with South Pointe over Myrtle Beach at this early juncture. I'm hesitant not to pick the Seahawks in this game but want to see them this Spring and Summer, first.
CLASS 3A CONTENDERS:
I've already mentioned Myrtle Beach and believe the lower state is theirs to lose despite tough competition.
Wren has to be considered a relevant team with quarterback Kelly Bryant back at the helm.
Marlboro County will be strong, though they will have a few big holes to fill at defensive end and in the secondary.
Hartsville returns solid talent and I think they could, again, be a major player.
Crestwood is going to be stout, again, and with Tyson Williams toting the leather, will be tough to beat in region.

MOST IMPROVED TEAM
I believe Airport could be the most improved team; they don't have far to go for that, coming off of a 2-8 record but I believe their rising sophomore and rising junior class could be a difference maker for them.
BIGGEST DROP OFF
D.W. Daniel lost a wealth of talent to graduation and I believe it will cause a drop off; not saying they won't be tough because they always are but they will fall far short of their title appearance from this past season. Brookland-Cayce could see a dip, as well. I'm not convinced that losing the experience on their offensive front and losing Zeke Walker will not have a huge impact on their program this year.
