'26 Zyon Guiles updates recruitment from Clemson, South Carolina, Coastal Carolina

We met with the intriguing 6-foot-5, 280-pounder who is being recruited at the Division 1 level to play on the offensive line of the Carvers Bay High School Bears in the Choppee, SC community near Georgetown on March 11 to observe drills and talk his growing college interest.

His head coach, Matthew Richard Jr., likes him as an offensive lineman to be recruited at the Division 1 level, which is where he played most of last season, but he also plays defensive line.

At that point, he was drawing interest from Clemson, who he had visited March 8 alongside other top recruits like Desmond Green, Donovan Murph, and Leo Delaney, Coastal Carolina, who he was set to visit the following day, and South Carolina.

Since we met with Guiles, he earned his offer from Coastal Carolina on Tuesday, March 12, the day he visited Conway, along with Old Dominion, the Monarchs who he visited the following week.

Guiles had already earned his offers from South Carolina State and The Citadel. The Bulldogs are the alma mater of his father, and high school position coach, both who played for the HBCU in Orangeburg. The Citadel head coach Maurice Drayton is recruiting hard in the area and the state and is also monitoring the progress of Guiles.
