This past week, I released a Class of 2017 early Watch List; that list of players has some potential future stars for the state of SouthCarolina. A couple of those players had an outstanding week with their performance and, as promised earlier this week, I will keep you updated on them.

Allendale-Fairfax athlete Deon Preister (6-1, 220) went to the Clemson camp this week and had an outstanding camp, working out at defensive end. He was stellar in the one-on-one's, dominating in his own age group and had to be moved up with the juniors to make it fair.

Byrnes rising freshman quarterback Jake Bentley (6-3, 190) participated in the Byrnes 7-on-7 tournament, leading one of the Rebels' teams. Bentley, who started for the Rebels' junior varsity team as an eighth grader last year, led the Rebels Team B in this tournament and completed 148 of 227 passes (65% completion percentage) and tossed 37 touchdowns on 53 drives.
