As we are less than 24 hours from signing day, it's time to take a look at the prospects from this 2014 Class that the college fans may want to make note of. These are the guys most likely to make early impact at the next level.
Tyshun "Deebo" Samuel, Wide Receiver, Chapman High School (South Carolina): I believe this kid to be the most underrated and undervalued prospect on the Gamecocks' list. He is a phenom and has the skill set and measurable to be a superstar at the next level. I think he fills a void left by Bruce Ellington's departure and can be the same kind of impact athlete. He's very dangerous with the ball in his hand as a receiver and in special teams play, and is a heck of a defensive back, as well. While I think he could easily play on the defensive side of the football, he is simply too dangerous with the football to not use on offense.
Christian Miller, Linebacker, Spring Valley High School (Alabama): Miller is 6-4 and his skills and athletic ability make him a perfect fit for a 3-4 scheme in the Tide's defense. But I have said all along that with some weight on his frame, he could be a strong edge rusher and I do think that we'll see him first on the field for the Tide in some packages where does just that ? hand on the ground coming off of the edge.
Shaedon Meadors, Wide Receiver, Byrnes High School (Appalachian State): Meadors was an absolute steal for App State, as a 6-2 baller who can catch the football. He's dangerous in the vertical game and can make the tough catches in traffic. I think he's an immediate impact player for the Mountaineers and one who the in-state guys just flat out missed on.
