We had a great QB1 Training Day at Spartanburg High School this past weekend and, as usual, the talent level was high. We were able to eyeball our newest member to the 2016 watch list and I'm telling you, this kid will push the top spot very hard with a good season in 2014.

Dorman sophomore (2016) Collin Hill came out for workouts and was very impressive. He's got a good frame at 6-4 and is very athletic. Plays basketball for the Cavs and was the JV quarterback this past season.

He's got very good mechanics with excellent integration of linear and rotational mechanics in his throwing motion. He carriages the ball well and has a fairly quick release. Has great velocity on the ball, throws tight spirals that are catchable balls. He's also very accurate in camp setting.

Obviously, we'll need to see him on varsity game film to complete the evaluation but I can tell you that outside of a complete meltdown, this kid is not only going to push for the top QB spot in the 2016 cycle, he's also going to see big time offers come his way in the next off-season.

He makes the 2016 group even stronger with Avery McCall (Dillon), Austin Scott (Spartanburg), Collin Sneed (Hillcrest), and Heath Gerald (J.L. Mann). (More on Gerald later)
